Recipes / Carmelized, Spiced Pumpkin Seeds
« Last post by Rob on October 22, 2012, 12:58:53 PM »
INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 + 1 pinch teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 pinches cayenne pepper
2 cups raw whole pumpkin seeds, washed and dried
cooking spray
2 teaspoons sea salt, or to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons light, packed brown sugar

DIRECTIONS:
1.Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with the cooking spray.

2.In a large bowl, stir together 3 tablespoons of sugar, the cumin, cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper, and set aside.

3.Place the pumpkin seeds on the prepared baking sheet, spray them with cooking spray, and sprinkle with salt to taste. Bake the seeds in the preheated oven until lightly golden and moisture free, 20 to 25 minutes.

4.Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, and stir in the toasted pumpkin seeds along with 2 tablespoons of light, packed brown sugar. Cook and stir the seeds until the sugar forms a coating on the seeds, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir the caramelized seeds into the bowl of sugar-spice mixture, toss to coat, and let cool.

Android General Discussion / Google Play Store - Error Processing Purchase [DF-BPA-09]
« Last post by Rob on September 17, 2012, 11:42:38 AM »
Have you ever flashed a new ROM and received this error? Well, there are a few different ways to fix it.

Option 1
Enter recovery>advanced>fix permission

Option 2
1. Setting>Accounts & sync>Google
2. Unsync Calendar,Contacts, & Gmail
3. Resync Calendar, Contacts, &Gmail
4. Reboot

Option 3
1. Setting>Applications>All tab
2. Clear Data for the following:
    A. Google Services Framework
    B. Google Play Store
    C. Internet (Browser)
    D. Download Manager3. Reboot to recovery
4. Clear Cache and Dalvik Cache
5. Reboot System
6. You may may need to reset your location settings. You will also need to allow some time for the framework services to collect everything it needs to function, which could take a few minutes.

If option 3 now gives you a network error in the play store, even after waiting a few minutes, repeat the steps and it should work. If it doesn't, let us know and we can help figure it out.

Android General Discussion / [How To] Change your Boot Animation and Down Animation
« Last post by Rob on September 04, 2012, 09:12:00 PM »
Changing your bootanimation.zip and/or downanimation.zip (GB and higher only) may seem like a daunting task, but it is easier than you may think.

1) Find the Boot Animation or Down Animation that you wish to use on the internet.
     A) HINT: You can find more than 300 Boot Animations within Rom Toolbox Lite/Pro found on the market here:
          Rom Toolbox Lite: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94Il0.
          Rom Toolbox Pro: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolboxpro&feature=nav_other#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDYsImNvbS5qcnVtbXkubGliZXJ0eS50b29sYm94cHJvIl0.

2) Move the boot/down animation you have chosen to your SD card.

3) Determine where your original boot and down animations are installed.
     A) Common Locations are as follows:
          i) /system/media/
          ii) /system/customize/resources/
          iii) /data/local/
     B) The default location for Android is: /system/media/ but many custom roms move the animations to a different location.

4) Change the name of the original animation to something that identifies it as the original. This will be your permanent backup and only needs to be done with the original .zip file. Once you have done this the first time, you do not need to do it again.

5) Move the animation you download from your SD card to the location you identified earlier with the original animation.

6) Finally, make sure the permissions of the new animation file match the original file exactly.

7) Reboot and enjoy!
